Well, you are certainly on the same page as Trump. Our interests are intertwined with all the democracies around the world. That is the point of our treaties with Japan,South Korea, NATO and the G7.
The democracies around the world share intelligence and work together to push back on hegemony from nations like China and Russia.
Australia, Japan and South Korea cannot effectively challenge China and Russia alone.
That is why Trump canceling joint military exercises with South Korea,and Japan is such a huge blunder.
We provide the military umbrella for those countries.They may now wonder if we will continue to do that or if trump will abandon them e.g. only force KIm to get rid of long range missiles but not short range missiles that can reach Japan and South Korea.
Trump is an idiot, but worse, he seems to be more comfortable with Putin, XI and Kim and wanting to work with them against our western allies.
