I do want the US to shut down their military bases around the world as I am sick and tired of the selective enforcement of our foreign policy. US leadership since WWII doesn't care if a country is run by a dictator as long as it is one of 'their' dictators. Once Saddam Hussien threatened to start selling oil for Euros he was targeted for removal via invasion for WMDs (Which was total BS) and killed in 2003. Once Muammar Gaddafi threaten to create the gold-based Dinar currency for the northern African region Libya was carpet bombed and he was assassinated in 2011. Until that time we didn't care about any of their atrocities as long as they played along.

I do agree that the US military bases are there as much to protect Canada as well as the US but my main emphasis is that I want the current administration and future ones to stop being the world's policeman and selectively deciding which countries it is ok to interfere with in their internal affairs. I feel that by adhering to this new foreign policy it will make the world a somewhat safer place and therefore we will be able to pull back most of our brave soldiers. I am not against having a strong military but there is something very wrong with spending more on the military on an annual basis than the next 8 - 10 countries combined.

I don't like a lot of what Trump tweets and have stated on multiple occasions that I wish he would stop doing that but I do have to say that IMHO I believe that he has done a great job as President fighting again the biased MSM and the corrupt high level administrators in the FBI, DOJ, State Department and others. I am waiting for the day that some serious indictments are released for Comey, McCabe, and others.

By the way, I like Canadians but I am not a big fan of some of your elected officials like Trudeau.
