Thanks Josh. I'm trying to combine/simplify systems. I have a just under 3 year old Global world network phone that was totally useless in Europe last week since data service is now 4G. My phone was still 2G/3G. Texting and calls worked fine, but no data. Had to find Wifi continuously. Luckily, it is more available in Europe than here, even on trams and buses.

T-Mobile is offering free data and SMS on their 55+ plan in 140 countries. That would work fine for me, and then I could just keep my obsolete phone for occasional calls.

It's time for me to upgrade local cell service here anyway, so a new phone is coming one way or another.
