Do you have Comcast Xfinity service where you live? If so check out their cell plans, as long as you subscribe to their internet service you can purchase several phones and lines. Kicker with them is there is no monthly line charge, and unlimited talk/text is included. Data is $12/GB monthly, and they have a $45/month unlimited data plan. When they introduced cell service last year my wife picked up an iPhone 6s for $249, which is VERY reasonable as they were giving very nice deals on phones initially. They also offer a couple cheaper Android phones. This is a hybrid wifi/cell service, and since we live in a densely populated suburb of Chicago, there are Xfinity hotspots all over the place. She turned data off and her monthly cell bill is $3.56...
