Regarding Intel in particular, I'm concerned about what good old steve said a while back on some other thread --- that Compaq had stuffed the channel for Christmas. That's a lot of CPUs, and I assume Intel has them on the books for Q497. Actually, Intel's account receivables are down and the word on the street is that Intel has not stuffed the channel with their CPU's . IMO, the channel's stuffing capacity has declined due to the shift to build-to-order, just-in-time manufacturing. PTB
