Brian and all,

Microsoft's new SQL 7 is my chief concern. As everyone knows, I like Informix as a company and stock prospect very much. I think that
Finocchio is a great CEO, but I need to have one of the tech
experts on this thread explain why the new Microsoft server product isn't major competition to Informix. If the Microsoft product can scale much further than before and can handle the "terabyte" data, then aren't they entering major Sybase, Informix and Oracle territory?

I think that Informix can compete well with IBM, Sybase and Oracle,
but I am still trying to figure out where Microsoft fits into this scenario.

My confidence in this company's recover is unchanged. I simply want to hear some opinions on the SQL 7 product.

Thanks

Jeff Bertrand
