[Military Contracts]

In addition to the Cabletron deal, the navy has also anounced some contracts with XYLN (Xylan Corp.) in December I believe. It definitely seems that the military will be more of an important market for hi-tech firms, although not in the same leaque as potential commercial applications. The good thing about the military, however, is that they are highly likely to use what they perceive to be the best technology, and are a lot less concerned with buying from the perceive "market leader" just to be safe. The contracts with Xylan and Cabletron (as opposed to going with CISCO) tend to support that contention.

I think the chances are good that ANCR can get some business in this market segment, provided that focus on applications where FC has inherent advantages.
