Mercedes stop-start engines are indistinguishable from a regular engine in performance. Since you bought a Peugeot, I can understand wishing you could turn-off the stop-start as it's not well implemented. Where is the switch? We couldn't find it. We had one rental Peugeot in France which totally shut-down and locked the doors. By the time we came back from dinner the car had rebooted and was simply bad again. In the future, rent a car before you buy one.
