The polls are against you and Wharf et al. They don't want the border wide open to illegal immigrants. They don't want chain migration either. They want controlled immigration and based on merit.

What the public will now see unfold is exactly how so many Latinos take themselves to the front of the line and gain entry to the US. They do it through 'catch and release'. They swarm the border and all the system can do is process them through. Take down whatever names and information are given to ICE and then promise to show up for a hearing. But they don't show up for a hearing. They disappear into the country, assisted by open border activists like Wharf, and there aren't close to enough ICE personnel to track them.

Now, the public will see with their own eyes how so many Latinos get into the country. They don't go to a legal entry point. They come across illegally and openly. They don't care if they get caught because they know the odds are high they're going to get in either way.

Why? Because the government only has two options. One is to detain all of them in the 20,000 military housing units and adjudicate them under a law that says parents and children must be separated after 20 days. Or they can all be released as I described----catch and release. Obama didn't want the public outcry over children separated either, so he opted for release.

Revealing the process may really work against Democrats because almost all of us don't like to see the system gamed and don't like things to be unfair, i.e. people cutting in line. People will also now see how easy it is for criminals to get across because there's no way all these people can be properly vetted.
