Both very close to what used to be called "Investment banks".

Their weakness is not just a USA centric problem.

Deutsche, Barclays and UBS seem to be in this category to me.

Part of the US's economic health is associated with its healthy banks.

Sad that Europe still has not made the changes it should to have healthier banks i.e. non performing loans and banks owning sovereign businesses - which should be monetized and not subsidized - it's more political baloney imo.
