Hi Bogey!
Jan 28 is the number I most recently saw. Siemens has made a tentatively conciliatory comment stating that it will support whatever decision ETSI makes. Some commentators already regard the Nordic
alliance as the winner. I think that the stock market may have already figured that Nokia/Ericsson alliance wins... so there might be little upside if this happens, but a nasty backlash if Siemens/Alcatel prevail.
After this the next count-down will be for the Japanese government to lock in their 3G preference, probably by next summer. Better keep that Chateau Lafite-Rotschild -68 in the fridge until then. Now if only they would heed NTT-Docomo's preference and pick the Nokia/Ericsson model... this would really rock the stock prices of not only Nokia and Ericsson but also Motorola and rest of the lot.
