With interest rates still near record lows, inflation nearly dead in the water etc. one would think American business should be kicking butt. If not now, when? When rates are higher? When inflation is running rampant?

RHT took a beating because its guidance is falling. SOXS and SDOW are good investments if you think the US economy is crashing again. Republicans tend to crash the economy and the markets tend to go up when Democrats have power. The numbers are the numbers. Numbers are neither liberal nor conservatives but conservatives forgot how to use them. It's call math.

The $1.9 trillion of tax cuts and debt didn't move the market. Neither did the $11.7 trillion in new spending over the next 10-years. One would think all this stimulus would, you know, stimulate the economy. Recall how republicans voted against all stimulus when we needed it during and after the Great Recession but stimulate the hell out of the economy when it doesn't need it. If you see a bunch of mindless hypocrites it's something we all see. We needn't fret over these idiots.

We know long-term debt will eventually crush the US. The vast majority of the pre-Great Recession debt came from republican presidents who cut taxes and lied about balancing the budget (they do love their lies). How anyone can call republicans fiscal conservatives is beyond me. They don't conserve anything - and there hasn't been a fiscal conservative in the gop in my lifetime.

There are too many ships when no one defends free trade and far too many think a trade war will make things better.

Trade wars create Great Depressions. The CEOs, American voters, and businesses who supported Trump's candidacy are to be blamed. When this is over they will have to be dealt with very severely. Not because of their fake beliefs but because they're morons. They don't know basic facts and they spew lies. How can they be charged with running a company, a country, a religion, or anything else?
As I said previously, republicans advocate policies that push oil prices higher by going to war in the Middle East or putting sanctions on oil-rich Muslim countries. Then the US pumps more oil and the price falls back to normal. Republican donors (the Koch Brothers) and Russia need higher oil prices. Republicans are obliged to do whatever it takes to help both.

Bush destroyed the Clinton boom and Trump is destroying the Obama boom. Who votes for these people? Only morons.
