Difficult to master? Not so much anymore and it is only going to get easier as the software is steadily improved. Of course the military tech is way ahead of the game, but the publicly available tech is still pretty impressive.

And also there are publicly available remote systems allowing one to set-up a gun at some location weeks in advance...assuming you are clever enough to hide it that well.
