Wow a whole plant devoted to View Dynamic Glass!! Puts Continental's, Vision System's divisions devoted to SPD products to shame. :-)

You say that with such sarcastic smugness, unbecoming of someone whose lifetime investment is sitting at an all time low after 25 years. Maybe it's true what you're saying now that all this time as you've been spreading FOMO to others year after year, your own personal stake in this was minimal. Because you knew all along there was no urgency to get seriously invested here, what you were telling others notwithstanding.

But that's an aside. I want to get back to your self-assurance that a "division" is so obviously a much greater commitment than a mere "plant".

Except, is it? Really, when you get down to it, a "division" is nothing more than a box on an org chart and a couple employees given new job titles. Really, when you don't have shareholders to answer to, like Vision doesn't, it literally doesn't have to be a thing more than that.

I'd feel a much bigger sense of commitment from the move that actually requires a level of capital investment. But maybe that's just me.
