How much would China be willing to sacrifice in return for not losing its membership in the World Trade Organization, owing to its routinely ignoring the respect for IP demanded by that organization? It's a good question.. and it raises another major issue related to AMSC..
The company has been attempting, in vain, to have it's case heard and resolved in a Chinese court. But, obviously, there has been pushback and constant delays and indifference, within those courts.
Just like a foreign company seeking redress within US courts for any tort, or IP theft, US companies should feel confident that their cases will be heard and resolved in a Chinese court..
So I see, if properly addressed, the Trump Administration, and in particular Wilbur Ross, taking China to task over this issue.
And while I would LOVE to see a $3 Billion award for damages, I think we'd all be quite satisfied with $1.2 Billion..
This used to be a $400/share stock.. Give me $100/share and I'd be wetting myself.. ;0)
Btw, for first time readers, here's the DOJ conviction notice against Sinovel..
