As bentway notes, most illegals arrive by plane and overstay their visa. Stopping those would be easier to do, wouldn't cost hundreds of billions of dollars and take far less time.Seems that should be the place to start.

Assuming you really want to control illegal immigration. Of course, the wall would be to control brown immigrants. Is that why it has a higher priority?
