Context defines the issue of murder. When we kill in a war it is not murder, even an unjust war like Viet Nam. If we kill in self defense it is not murder.

Modern societies are saying the church no longer gets to define the morality of abortion as the church is a primitive simplistic myth .Abortion is a dilemma and the only way to solve a dilemma is to make an existential decision. Modern societies around the world have decided the greater good is to let the woman decide. She has to live with the decision and she knows what is best for her.

Modern people are saying the church does not have the moral authority to define what is right and wrong. Humans get to make that decision and most modern humans have decided in favor of legal abortion.

Murder is defined as the unlawful killing of a human being. Abortion gets two out of four. Bzzzzz. If someone feels like abortion is tantamount to murder, no argument from me.
