You're not thinking straight. It happens because you are always trying to fit every scrap of information you have into a political narrative, and then you end up saying stupid things.

The truth is that the tax cuts will contribute a very small amount to our annual deficits. Most of the deficit will be created from paying social security and medicare benefits to retirees. As a result, social security and medicare funds will, of course, be gutted in order to meet those obligations. We should worry less about the tax cuts and worry more about preserving and even growing the social sec. and medicare trust funds.

The Trump economy is so strong that social security disability payments are decreasing as more people choose to work rather than try to subsist on SS disability. This has already increased the life of the trust fund by 4 years.

Wage growth, which the Trump economic plan is starting to produce, will generate increased FICA taxes, and this will also add to the life of SS. It could be a good time to increase FICA on the top end of taxpayers too. Something like a 15 year FICA surcharge until the boomers start to die off is something I could support.
