Because I think the Chinese have a problem here as well.. Sinovel installed some 8,000+ Wind Turbines (with stolen AMSC software) and those have to be maintained and upgraded or they could constitute a total loss.. There could be a Chinese gov't bailout of Sinovel in the offing.. or arranged marriage with another wind turbine company. Highly embarrassing (loss of face) for the Chinese.. I've read that Goldwind might be interested in Sinovel's assets.. But certainly they would have to have to have this Chinese based litigation resolved first.. But how that would be impacted by the US Federal Court sentencing is anyone's guess.. However, if AMSC can develop a stronger market presence in China, long-term, that is far more satisfactory than just receiving damages from a Criminal case ruling.. That is why I'm truly interested in how the Federal Sentencing will play out, and how it meshes with Trump's posturing on IP theft and Wilbur Ross' negotiations over there.. en.wikipedia.org Hawk
