It appears I may stand corrected. I'll take a more detailed look at the litigation later. However, I'd still like others to address the aspect of the apparent AT&T/FTEL problems which, to me, seem likely to develope as internet long-distance becomes more popular.

Does anyone think AT&T will just give up market share to FTEL if it is successful? Why?

Would FTEL be unjustly enriched by using AT&T's lines if they competed head to head for long-distance customers? Would FTEL become regulated as a result? Would special taxes result? Or would AT&T just go after FTEL's market? ETC.

I have taken a few moments to open up an FTEL Library in my website. You can access it directly at:

valuespec.com

It only has the one article, but it shouldn't take long to put some good info in it since the other FTEL SI thread has so much fundamental info in it.

Regarding slandering the company, etc. Let me ask you this:

If one were to say something like, "Itallians are great painters", would that be expressing a prejudiced thought?

Is it any more appropriate to label people with positive sterotypes than it is to label them with negative sterotypes?

It is funny how people would probably be more offended by the negative stero-type than the positive stereo-type, though they are probably sisters, and both should probably be shunned.

If someone on this board makes a mistake and labels the company in a falsely positive light, is that any less appropriate than someone who accidently labels it in a falsely negative light?

It is funny how people will be quick to attack someone who makes a false negative remark on these SI boards, but those same people often aren't so quick to correct a false positive remark.
