I think the last time that happened was when Obama killed Osama. Other than that, not so much. How did Vietnam 'defend our freedoms'? How did Iraq 'defend our freedoms'? How does Syria 'defend our freedoms'?

It's a meaningless phrase used to whip up support for wars that don't deserve it.
