Yes unfortunately another "Hitler" and "complete" destruction of the current system followed eventually by rebirth is a possibility, but fortunately it is not the only possibility. And I'm not sure why you think this will be my fault if it happens or why you think the democrats can save us from this future. I have not seen either party manage to weaken the forces driving us towards an end game. Zealotry on either side is not going to be what brings about a solution that doesn't involve the next Hitler. Blind loyalty to either party is exactly opposite of what is needed.
