When a stock trades as thinly as ZEN, large swings (up and down) can take place on VERY low volume. Friday ZEN Closed at $0.475 Today at the Open the Bid was 2 lots at $0.47 and the ASK was one lot at $0.51 There were no trades until 10:43 AM when someone trading through RBC submitted a BUY of 7,000 shares at Market. The first 500 shares traded at the ASK - $0.51 - only 1 boardlot was available. The next 2,500 shares traded at the NEW ASK - $0.52 - only 5 boardlots were available. The last 4,000 shares traded cleared out the NEW ASK - $0.53 - (These 8 boardlots were crosses to RBC buyers) 3 minutes later at 10:46 CIBC bought 500 shares at the NEW ASK - $0.55 - 1 of 5 boardlots available at that price. Then (also at 10:46) TD sold a non boardlot of 400 Shares at the NEW BID - $0.50 So ZEN went from $0.475 to $0.55 on 7,500 shares traded and then back down to $0.50 on 400 shares. SCARY STUFF. Right now the BID is back down to $0.49 (1 boardlot) and the ASK is still $0.55 (4 boardlots)
