As to racism, if the shoe fits, wear it.

I am not a proud member of the Democratic party. There is lots to dislike about it. But the Republicans have been riding the crazy train to loony town for decades. During the Reagan years, they sucked up to the evangelicals. Now they are proudly welcoming the Nazis.

There just isn't any choice between the two.

Name a Republican in the Senate today who was/is an active member of the KKK. Like Robert Byrd.

Robert Byrd died nearly a decade ago. He dropped out of the Klan in the 1940s. He apologized many times for joining the Klan many, many times over the decades.

Now, if you want to talk about more modern times, David Duke was in the 2016 Senate primary as a Republican, although he didn't win. Said Donald Trump was his inspiration. He also endorsed Trump.

Funny, you have to dig up stuff that is more than a half a century old for your smear on the Democrats. Yet there is plenty of worse stuff on Republicans up to this day.
