Republicans didn't do anything before, during or after the collapse. They showed us they're unamerican. You want to blame Democrats even though your party held control of the entire government for years before the collapse. Blaming ONE Democrat for the global meltdown is typical of what the republican mind is capable of- shallow on its best of days. The collapse happened because big banks wrote bad loans, packed them as investments, got S&P to rate their trash AAA and then spread their disastrous decisions across the globe. I'd suggest you read a few timelines of the Great Recession and then get back to me.
