We're about an hours drive to the entrance of Yosemite (another 45 min to the valley floor). Also about an hour and half from the entrance of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. I will only go to Yosemite during the weekdays but even now its not a great time -- because its a world class destination and generally full. The last time I went - in the winter - I had the park to myself.

Also own 28 acres with the north, south, & east borders being the Sequoia National Park. The property is on Mill Flat Creek... that's me chillin' on the lawn chair (and a couple of my kids and one of my grandsons). That pond is right on my property. (bought with profits from penny stocks).
.

Son -in-law with grandson. The granite outcropping is kinds like a waterfall...esp during early spring / summer. This was taken middle of Sept several years ago.

That creek flows into the kings river a couple miles down stream.

But at this time of year - with the valley heat - the higher elevations are where its at. Those hills are now golden brown.

For now --- I'm headed to the pool, its nearly 100 °
