OT --- I bought two *lots in the desert - 1.8 acres each - side by side for a total of 3.6 acres - for a total of $2200. (penny stock profits) I have survey steaks on each of the 4 corners. We often go out there during the perseid meteor shower.

The last time we went out there was just before one of my sons moved to Oregon. One of his friends is a rocket scientist that works for JPL NASA. He brought out a couple of drones and did a flyover.
The drone that took these pics was a more expensive one --- had GPS stabilization - so when the wind is blowing its able to maintain position.

Anyway -- here's a few pics.

if you look carefully you will see out camp in the upper left hand area in pic below.

* Originally I bought 5 lots in this area for a total of ~ $10k. I sold one for $15k and still own the other 4. Then I bought another 2.5 acre lot with water and power at the street for $3k and sold it for $20k and used the profits to buy a lot across the street from it for $10k which is contiguous to another lot I own so I have 5 contiguous acres with water and power at the street. Then I bought another 5 acres with no power and water for $2500.

bottom line -- paid out a total of ~$23000 for 8 parcels of land in this area and sold 2 for $35000 and holding 6 for free (except taxes).

I love penny stocks -- (and penny properties). Have others as well in California, Nevada, and Idaho -- but enuf said.

Sorry if this has annoyed anyone :(
