Here is how our Government Works. In order to get to the House and Senate.. A "Bill" must move through and be passed by a "Committee" Committee's are composed of members of Congress from both Parties. You have to get the Committee to agree to "The Bill". Once approved by Committees. Then a "Bill" can be forwarded to Congress... and then eventually to the President. The "Bills" (there were multiple of time) to reform the GSE's and move oversight under the Treasury Department which was initiated by President Bush, Sponsored by Republicans. The Democrats, led by Barney Frank on the Committee vehemently rejected the "Bill" and it's necessity. Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, and other Democrats on the Committee claimed that the Republicans were basically crazy and there there was no need to worry about the GSE's. youtube.com Then AFTER the GSE's imploded. Frank, now Chairman of the Committee claimed victory that HE and the Democrats were the only ones that were capable of passing GSE reform.. LOL youtu.be It's Hypocrisy at it's finest. PCSTEL
