Legality means nothing to republicans. We know this because of their history. Was McCarthyism legal, Watergate? Iran/Contra? lies about Whitewater? Lies about WMDs, an unjust war that resulted in the US murdering hundreds of thousands of Muslims in cold blood etc.? But the poor guy who's trying to save his family from starvation or death because his party lost power is a bad person? In what universe does this make sense?
