By putting two layers of plastic over the already double-paned windows, with our small woodstove we managed to hold the temperature at 58+ overnight with the temperature outside at -5 to -10 degrees or so. Some people are trying to stay in unheated homes rather than go to shelters. While the shelters are warm, people can't sleep with the noise of hundreds of others in the same room. Flu and colds are also spreading there. Just glad the ordeal is over for us. John
