Hi dan6,

That is a possibility.

I don't think that is where Trump wants to go.

When he suggested dropping all tariffs to the Euro zone they (euro bureaucrats) bounced off of that like it was the third rail .

So some governments surely do look like it as a source of funds.

Once they see their funds flowing to the USA - they'll cough up a fur ball and get back to fair and free trade.

Thats the big boogey man in all of this.

As the system stands now it is far from free trade.

The one way street that the U.S. opened up never had reciprocal tariffs. The tariffs that were written unfairly burdened US products from the euro zone while they shipped Jaguars,Land Rovers, Mercede Benz's, Audi's and Bimmers.

To top off the insult - they shipped diesel cars that had software cheat programs to side step the EPA emissions restrictions as set by the US government.

These bureaucrats are two faced and cheaters to boot! Hiding behind their "German excellence in engineering". BS!!

Just a bunch of darn lyers!

I say Trump will and should take it to where they must recognize their denial is hurting them - then we'll get straight up trade policies.

It will then be good for the USA, from both domestic production in our country with foreign companies investing in the US and our manufacturers exporting a superior product to other markets.

You can't tell me that a european affluent buyer does not want a Cadillac or Silverado 4x4 or Denali SUV!
