But Eric, as I understand it, Apple gets the same wholesale price no matter what the dealer sells a G3 for. And when the dealers go below MAP then Apple gets to cut the co-op dollars for further savings.

As for the lack of a CEO, I think it did hurt the stock in December. We'll see if the shareholder's meeting has some good news on that front. Perhaps it is time for Jobs and Apple to reach out to the suffering (besides you and me) shareholders like they've reached out to other constituencies.

His move of waiting to announce the profit until the end of his speech was brilliant not only as a dramatic move but for long-term shareholders (as opposed to speculators) as well.
