ERG:
Touche my friend, and your point is well taken. This thing has more lives than any cat . What I should say is ....
".in a normal market, given realistic expectations, applying multiples that have some mathematical basis, a $.04 quarterly report, coupled with expected big losses for the foreseeable future and a glutted industry, might reasonably lead one to expect single digit share prices in the next 6 months. BUT......, we are in a full blown mania, hence one can logically expect the stock to sky rocket at least 20% on any news that suggests that the company might actually still exist at year end". (G)

To be mildly serious, I really do expect MU to fall precipitously and probably near term. Once a short squeeze has run out of cannon fodder (and I've been just that, far too many times), momentum ebbs rather quickly. More importantly, the Asian problems guarantee continuing price pressure on memory chips. Then too, repetitious declines in analysts' expectations grind fund managers down rather quickly, and even the dumbest analyst really doesn't want to be the guy who turns out the lights. Goldman's silly efforts to dress this one up for a quick fee has already engendered lots of rolled eyeballs and ribald jokes among the fund manager fraternity. "Why did Abby assign the analysis of a chip company to her pulp and paper analyst?.....those from the "North Country" are rotflmao.)
My problem is that I view it as an annuity, (g)..
I will also wash my mouth out with soap if I ever say "sing-- dig--- befo-- sum---" again (g)
Best, Earlie
