if you recall H&q had a speculative buy on syqt when they released their sparq 1.5gb. it seems h&q downgraded hmtt probably believing the sparq would encroach on the jazz.
from what weve seen on this thread syqt is not doing so well w/ this new product. hmtt has fallen to a pe of 8. just my opinion pe of 8 seems low for a co. actually growing. hmtt proving jazz is well.<<

In the interest of fairness, I must say that I don't believe anything we've seen on this thread indicates that SyQuest is not doing well with SparQ. I believe that the drive is selling well. It is true that SyQuest is not yet producing the SparQ in large quantities, but it seems as if they are selling everything they can make.

However, as you point out, HMTT's earnings report provides pretty good evidence that reports of Jaz's death have been greatly exaggerated.

SparQ and Jaz can both be successful at the same time, because the overall market for removable storage is growing.
