Mindmeld,
As to your comment on the coming crash...actually, I agree. As most on these threads already know, I positioned my portfolio for a crash late summer of 2017. I missed out on some gains, but I'm sleeping easy at night and will experience no crash at all when the air gets let out of this balloon.
The real danger of a crash isn't whether you can batten down the hatches. Those of us who are prudent in our investments will know how to minimize the risk.

No, the real danger of a crash is that the Democrats will profit handsomely off of it. They will get themselves elected and do whatever it takes to prolong the recession that follows, all the while pushing for as much socialism as possible.

How do I know? Look at the last recession. They helped usher it in, then used that to get Obama elected along with a supermajority in Congress. Then they used that to push for two things:

1) "Stimulus," which turned out to be the biggest political slush fund in history with examples all around,

2) ObamaCare, which won't be repealed even with the Republicans in control of all three branches of the federal government.

The next recession will bring in "Medicare for All," which is the liberal wet dream. After that, "Jobs for All." Then finally "Living Wage For All."

Winter is coming ...
