Dennis, just a consumer's observation, but recent DIMD video cards seem to be stealing Matrox's thunder. Once DIMD was King, but the Millenium and Mystique dethroned them. I'm seeing more DIMD cards in the stores again, though, and seeing more going into machines.

Coming down the line, there will be a big video upgrade cycle coming down the road a year or so, with the "new, improved" Pentium IIs with the special high-speed bus for video and what-not. (That's the technical term for it...)

DIMD isn't really a significant force in sound, though. I suspect in sound they're about where Creative is in video.
