Hi Mark, Actually Mark you are not off topic. State debt has alot to do with currency, gold, ect. Well I beleive you have taken my post the wrong way. First of all I think Canada is really beautiful and I can't make a comment on whether I would want to live there or not. I've visited. Like it. I would expect you to defend and say what you have said but you have missed the point. The question that was posed on a previous post has to deal with debt, gold and the reasons why. Canada is a neighbor and close by. Canada was used as a comparason as to why your currency is down. Debt. Of course the average citizen likes and wants to keep its benifits but remember someone has to pay for it. I've talked to many folks and they don't like what they pay but they don't want to give up what they are getting. Thats fine. You like your government for what it gives you but that is not always the general consensis. There is always someone that has to give up more then what they get. The post was not about whether Canada or the US is better but why governments sell gold to provide those benifits that the populus wants and now expects. I'm not going to get into a debate whether Canada is better then the US or vise versa. That is not the issue here nor is it the substance of the previous post. It was about governments, debt, and the reasons why governments sell gold.;-) Take care and good trading, Ron
