China source of all goods enabled over consumption.

People (not Americans, but overall) consuming a lot goods, means they are satisfied and blind to the economic issues. Perhaps governing elites -the 1%- like them to be that way.

During the China Decade. Brazil was consuming like there was no tomorrow. BRL was strong on the back of commodities super-cycle and approached 1.5/USD.

They did not complain about what was going with the tycoons that were later on locked up. Lula was good and they elected Dilma.

I made a small experiment. I compared my Facebook friends pictures and opinions during the go go years and during the aftermath.

Their views changed dramatically as their level of consumption of goods and services plummeted.

As soon as the after effects fo the Financial Crisis of 2008 hit, they took to the streets.

Cut for today.

The hyper-consumption wasn't sustainable. China profited a lot from hyper-consumption and thought that that would last forever and they could buy up their way into a power nation status.

China forgot the hands that fed them.

DJT explored an angle that other politicos didn't have the cujones to approach it.

Now Beijing is playing for time. Waiting for time to solve their problems. Praying that DJT would be out 2020
