Share prices bounce around, and even though you would have been down on stock cost, you still would have the stock and most surely it would be back. Calif. just approved the use of Thin Prep for pap smears, and that should be good for a little bounce. Maybe. Truth is, these biotechs get no attention from Wall Street until profits come, and you can't count on sensible price action until then. Sensible, that is, in following some sort of discernable course. That doesn't mean they dont go up, but they do so in response to whatever stirs the emotions of buyers. Look at Geron right now - up a big bunch. They say they have found a gene that affects long life. But absolutely nothing to cause belief that it will cause long life. Lots of maybe, but the price is up. Way up.
