Henry/Thor: Yep, I can confirm that the region is back to normal as far as the smog is concerned. It was no hype. "Visually", the forest fires seem to be gone but you know how it is - the only way to tell is to see what happens late this year! This smog (we call it haze) has been recurring for a couple of years now and each time, except for the last one, the rains came in time. This time it was blamed on the El Nino, or whatever.....
Now the region has a bigger "smog/haze" to worry about. It's the currency and economic fallout haze!!! Things are looking a teeny weeny bit calmer but as the saying goes.. it may be the calm before the storm.
As I write this, the Rupiah is at 7150 to the US$.
