A pound of gold?

Lets start with IPM. They are still regrouping. They no longer have BD and I would like to know how involved Bateman really is. No word lately on any kind of recovery. They are proceeding to prove an ore body with an average grade of .0? oz per ton. I don't think they will produce that pound this year.

Maxam is also kind of regrouping. After all of the stories about operating a mine on five acres, we are now learning about additional BLM permits and state water permits or the lack thereof. They have lots of equipment in place and will start up this spring. Ask me again in May about this one.

GPGI is already getting money so they must be selling some. Based on their new releases, it is hard to put a value on their dirt. They seem to be taking the approach that if we can sell some, we obviously have some. My question is, did $15,000 worth of PMs come from their properties or someone elses?

Naxos will put in a pilot plant but I am still waiting for the press release that states BD collected the samples and held them in their custody until they were turned over to the lab. S & V keep shouting otherwise, but I have seen the BD reports about IPM where they claimed BD chain of custody. Keep in mind that these independent labs don't really care about chain of custody. You tell them who will deliver the samples, give them the money and instructions and they do what they are paid to do.

CHIP is maintaining a low profile with their DD stuff. I think they are hoping for coat tails. Their new placer deposits could be a different story but they aren't DDs.

MGAU is making lots of noise but it is interesting that they won't address the chain of custody issue.

Mike Wendell continues to produce tons of it, but I don't think it is gold.

The rumor mill says that Joe Champion and one of Walter's cronies are already making a killing selling PMs to refiners but they don't seem to be looking for any public support.

One of the NM DDs (Sunburst, I believe) is for sale but can't find buyers or obtain permitting due to some previous permit problems in Arkansas. Another NM DD (Grubstake) is being investigated by the New Mexico Attorney General and search warrants have already been served on their attorney.

I of course still have my 5 acres of desert dirt (and an option on 20 more). I am looking for suckers, I mean investors but not having any luck so have to rely on my day job at the perlite mine. I have thought about contacting MW. I'll bet he could find some colloidal gold in the perlite. Iam sure it must be on a linement and we are throwing away as waste most of the material which is already in the -1000 mesh size.

However, I do beleive that many of these public companies do present some excellent trading and shorting opportunites for wise investors with the time and resources to follow them on a daily basis.

Happy New Year
