Gabriela. I bought some Citicorp leap puts last year, because I thought rates were going up and this would hurt their bottom line. Rates went so far down that I suspect that they are also getting hurt. On Monday I closed out half of my position at a near 100% profit due to the nose dive in this sector. I profited for the wrong reason. I invested in gold stocks due in part to a meltdown in Japan, so far it hasn't quite worked out the way I planned. I quess when gold moves back up it will be for the wrong reason again. Some on this thread now predict that gold will rebound when Asia recovers. Go figure.
