I'm also left-handed. When starting college years ago I was unable to read my handwriting and had to switch to printing them.

Two advantages of my Kindle are:
1. you will never forget where you left off the next time you start reading.
2. If you don't know the meaning of a word there is a built-in dictionary which is easy to access.
