I think some of the tax cuts were wrong and I most certainly think the tax cuts came at the wrong time. We didn't need more stimulus. What we needed was a normalization of monetary policy and Congress and Trump to get out of the way. However, I do believe he did the right thing in giving corporations a tax break on the repatriation of their cash. If it were me, I would have lead a war against the interventionist Federal Reserve, demanded a return to sound money, and would have pushed for spending cuts, starting with a complete dismantlement of the wealfare state. I would have saved money by cutting the military by 25% to start and repatriating our soldiers from all of the world, closing bases where our allies have the ability to defend themselves. Also, I would have cut corporate subsidies from the oil and gas industry, from corn, from farms, and everyone else. Let the free market decide the winners. I would have removed all barriers to building new nuclear power plants or any other kind of energy form, as well as removed all barriers for exporting natural gas, oil, and anything else we want to export. I would have instituted an immediate reciprocal trade policy that would seek to equalize bilateral trade policies with every country on earth. For example, Brazil charges us $1 of import taxes and duties for every $1 we import, aka 100% tax, so I would institute the same tax on Brazilian imports to the US. If Brazil were to lower their taxes on us, then I'd reciprocate. Our system would be called a trade war and all the liberals who are mathematically challenged would complain, but we would fight for our prosperity, which we have every right to do. I would also simultaneously make it easier for law abiding, tax paying immigrants to come and work here and become citizens, while clamping down on illegals and the companies who hire them like nobodies business. I would make sure corporations who hire illegals get fined and harassed so hard that it would not be profitable to hire an illegal. I would have a real id tied to your social security number or your immigration status number stored in a central database and it would be required for you to get a job in this country. And btw, any public servant who aids and abets illegals or harbors them would be prosecuted for obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting a criminal. We would re-establish law and order in this country and all criminals and their accomplices would be prosecuted and thrown in jail...yes, including Hillary.
