LOL. Maybe, but I remember when I was in MBA school a few decades ago and had a professor from Columbia University teaching one of my classes. He was hyper liberal and skewered anyone who defended conservative positions. He was also very smart, so many people could not come up with logical arguments to defend their positions effectively against his onslaught. I'm a pretty vocal participant in most debates, even back then, when I was young. However, I absolutely did censor myself, because I didn't want my grades to suffer. I got an A in the class. My two friends that were vocal dissenters in class both got Bs. That lesson stuck with me. When I used to work at a large tech firm before I retired, it was the same old story. I became very adept at recognizing what people's positions were and finding a way to come across as being on their side of whatever issue. I never took political stands at work, because I didn't want my career to suffer. Before I left, my company was becoming hyper liberal and intolerant of any other viewpoints. I felt the workplace was not a place for politics, but being a tech company, the leaders did not have that same view. I think my generation may be the last generation that understood their was a time and a place for political discussions and we knew how to have civil debates and how to remain friends with people who had different political views. Those days are over.

So I can empathize with those who would censor themselves in this politically correct, intolerant environment that the liberals have created. I don't have to like it though. I think it is a cancer that will eat away at the vitality of our Democracy and our Freedoms.
