Speaking to some colleagues in Japan who are friends with a prominent journalist they reported that this man did a series of interviews with CEO's of various companies about the state of the economy. The interviews were done in the October/November period. Many of the CEOs admitted they were taking money out of Japanese banks and putting their own personal money in American banks.

Is this true or not? Who can tell. I report this for what it is worth.

In any case events like this would signal, at least to me, that there has been a fundamental shift in the way the Japanese themselves perceive their own problems. Hence, their "new found" wilingness to deal with "their" problems and their new open attitudes.

Basically, these guys were voting with their feet about the state of the Japanese economy and banking system.

Into this realm comes Lawrence Summers, the new Douglas McArthur who will create the new Imperium while back home Allen goes to Watts and New New York to assure the have not's that the haves will share.

Will Larry live in the Imperial Hotel? We should start a poll of our constituents here.
