No, your scenario works given the right assumptions. If the original series S crowd shorted around $6 they have a tremendous profit. If they have not covered yet they are getting free stock to cover with. They made the money on the short side way above the 25M invested in long stock. If they get a load of $1 stock they can cover a large short position. We don't know what the short size is if it is not all reported. I am not saying I am convinced of the crtel theory but this is how I understand its proponents to think. Is Dwight still lurking? He has a handle on Series S scenarios.
