BlackBerry wins round in Nokia patent dispute Aug. 13, 2018 5:45 PM ET\|About: BlackBerry Ltd. (BB)\|By: Jason Aycock, SA News Editor BlackBerry (NYSE: BB) patents on an industrywide technology standard won't face a challenge from Nokia (NYSE: NOK) in their dispute, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board has ruled. Bloomberg notes the PTAB says Nokia hasn't shown reasonable likelihood that it could prevail in an inter partes review of BlackBerry's patents 9,426,697 and 8,861,433. Those patents are tied to a federal case where BlackBerry is seeking royalties on Nokia's mobile networking products.
