There is an interesting article in Bloomberg mag. this month on momentum type investing funds. They interview all the players including Gary Pilgrim. You should read it.

I see it from a different perspective, this fund has a great long term performance record but is tainted by serious periodic dips when this investing method is out of favor. Now is the time to put money into a fund like this not sell. But you have to have the stomach to wait until it returns to favor and SELL when it life seems to good to be true. I think eight years is enough of a window for that to happen maybe more then once. I am no investment advisor ...but this fund is probably too volatile for someone only 8 years away from retirement. I'm looking at 15-20.
