You are absolutely right about that. I cashed out, to use a Las Vegas term, because I got fed up paying the vigorish to the Fascist Mafia Government. Everything is so expensive in NYC. You just wouldn't believe it.
Ultimately, if I am still alive and well, we are going to move to Tennessee, to either Chattanooga or Nashville when TN becomes a full fledged tax free State in 2022. TN currently taxes dividends and interest.
We have become minimalists since we left NYC. Very Little baggage to transport around.
We moved to another place a few months ago and it took us literally 2 hours to pack.
